摘要: PURPOSE: To investigate the incidence of second cancers occurring in patients with early stage (I/II) non–small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) treated radiation therapy (RT) alone. PATIENTS AND METHODS: Seventy-eight had been conventionally fractionated (CF) RT (1982 to 1987), and 116 hyperfractionated (Hfx) (1988 1993). Tumor doses were 60 Gy for CF 69.6 (1.2 bid) Hfx. RESULTS: A total 26 developed cancers. The cumulative was 21.8% (SE, 4.7%) at 5 years 34.8% 6.7%) 10 years. For cancers, it 6.0% 2.8%) 14.2% 5.2%) years, nonlung 16.3% 4.2%) 22.2% 5.7%) rate developing per patient year 4.3% (95% confidence intervals [CI], 2.7% 5.9%), rates being 1.4% (CI, 0.5% 2.3%) 2.8% 1.5% 4.1%) ...
