摘要: Diabetes impairs wound-healing, which in turn predisposes patients to develop nonhealing foot ulcers and amputations. Vascular dysfunction, peripheral neuropathy, immune dysregulation are among the known contributors ulcers. In recent years, research efforts have been initiated towards deciphering role of neuropeptides wound-healing. particular, Substance P, neuropeptide Y, calcitonin gene-related peptide physiological roles pain transmission, satiety, maintenance vascular tone. Cytokine secretion, cell trafficking, growth factor signaling some mechanisms modulated by autonomic sensory through they affect inflammation proliferation. Thus, released cutaneous nerves can directly participate healing process affecting inflammatory proliferative phases We therefore believe that, diabetic with impaired wound-healing could be a result dysregulation. The present chapter gives broad overview different that play fundamental process. Additionally, we discussed vivo models further help delineate
