摘要: In 1956, [26] Burwell et al. used the term “Pickwickian syndrome” to describe a new clinical picture associating obesity, cyanosis, polycythemia, primary alveolar hypoventilation and heart failure. Nearly ten years later, Gastaut [64] Jung Kuhlo [109] demonstrated presence of repeated apnoeas during sleep “Pickwickian” subjects. It appeared rapidly that such were seen in patients who did not have described by notion “obstructive apnoea (OSAS) was distinguished, particularly through instigation Guilleminault [85]. This syndrome is now known be common plays decisive role numerous aspects pathology. From first studies OSAS, certain authors drew attention hypopnoeas which they as differing degree intensity from [133]. The mechanism consequences these hyponoeas very easily understood reference apnoeas; hypopnoea later [72] with manifestations close those obstructive apnoea-hypnopnoea (OSAHS) established.
