摘要: In 1956, [26] Burwell et al. used the term “Pickwickian syndrome” to describe a new clinical picture associating obesity, cyanosis, polycythemia, primary alveolar hypoventilation and heart failure. Nearly ten years later, Gastaut [64] Jung Kuhlo [109] demonstrated presence of repeated apnoeas during sleep “Pickwickian” subjects.
