摘要: In order to define prognostic factors for advanced stage of nonseminomatous germ cell tumors (NSGCT) the testis, authors reviewed 84 patients treated from 1978 through 1985. The survival rate was 51% at 3 years. Patients with elevated seric levels human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) and/or alpha-fetoprotein (AFP), or presence an abdominal mass had significantly worse survival. Only HCG and AFP retained their significance when multivariate Cox analysis performed. probability that a patient achieves complete remission (CR) assessed by function certain characteristics using logistic regression analysis. significant variables were values. Since both are related CR obtention as unique outcome interest. greater than 70% adequately separates into two subgroups. This model currently is being used enrole NSGCT in prospective modulated clinical trial according these factors.
