摘要: Minor modifications in pyrimidine and purine nucleosides have a profound effect on their biological activity. These modified which exhibit wide variety of antiviral, antibacterial, antitumor or cancerostatic properties are collectively called as nucleoside antibiotics. Conformational these antibiotics been investigated by quantum mechanical PCILO method. The results indicate that the parent very similar conformational preferences this is specially so situations occur aqueous media. This result has important implications; can easily get incorporated growing chains RNA DNA mimicking then bring about inhibition protein synthesis.
