摘要: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects a concurrent, strength, and endurance training program on metabolic syndrome risk factors among obese females. Fifty-two females (mean ± SD: age 22.71 1.53 years; body mass index 33.96 3.36 kg m−2) were randomly assigned into four groups (n = 13; concurrent (CE), exercise (EE), resistance (RE) programs, control (C). All intervention completed an 8-week period that consisted either (EE: aerobic intensity level started at 40% heart rate week 1 increased 60% 8), (six eight exercises using machine 50–70% predicted 1RM), or (CE: 25-min running plus six 1RM). Resistance focused upper body, lower abdominal muscles. Before after intervention, subjects incremental treadmill run maximal isometric strength tests. baseline values for waist circumference, TRI, HDL, fasting blood glucose, pressure identical in all groups. Significant interaction (time x intervention) found WC, systolic pressure, but not TRI HDL. However, no significant differences between outcome measures. results suggest difference benefits endurance, female adults maybe because insufficient sample size short period.
