摘要: In recent years, almost all countries around the world face budget cuts in health spending, which force public and private hospitals these to use their resources effectively provide more efficient care. this context, present study evaluates hospital efficiency across 29 OECD between 2000 2010 investigates determinants affecting hospitals’ activities. first stage of two-stage performance analysis, scores were measured by data envelopment analysis (DEA) while, second stage, Panel Tobit Analysis was used identify environmental factors that affect obtained stage. The paper also explores changes factor compared previous years decomposition through Malmquist Productivity Index. it found achieved after began decline 2004 reached lowest levels 2009 2010. highest slack values figures regarding tomography, MR, nurses, respectively. due censored nature dependent variable DEA, order achieve consistent unbiased estimators, proposed. Estimations showed that, among secondarily efficiency, income, education number a positive way, while effects expenses on such negative.
