摘要: This article assesses party effects on the performance of public services. A policy-seeking model, hypothesizing that left and right control affects performance, an instrumental where all parties strive to raise are presented. The framework also suggests a mixed model in which contingent competition, with raising as increasing competition places their government at risk. These models tested against panel data English local governments’ service performance. results question traditional account parties, showing positive relationship between right-wing is sufficiently high level competition. findings suggest left–right should be reframed for contemporary context.
