摘要: There has been a gradual increase in production and consumption of atrazine (ATR) agriculture to meet the population rising demands. Female reproduction is necessary for growth maintenance population. However, ATR impact on females particularly ovarian developmental toxicity less clear. The aim this study was define pathways by which exerted toxic effects development ovary hypothalamo-pituitary-ovarian (HPO) axis. quails were dosed oral gavage from sexual immaturity maturity with 0, 50, 250 500 mg ATR/kg/d 45 days. had no effect mortality but depressed feed intake influenced biochemical parameters. Notably, arrested ovaries oviducts observed ATR-exposed quails. circulating concentrations E2, P, LH PRL unregulated FSH T downregulated ATR-treated mRNA expression GnRH hypothalamo pituitary significantly exposure upregulated. upregulated level P450scc, P450arom, 3β-HSD 17β-HSD ERβ female did not change ERα ovary. This provides new insights regarding productive toxicology exposure. Ovary oviduct sexually maturing target organs ATR-induced toxicity. We propose that abnormality associated disruption gonadal hormone balance HPO axis
