摘要: An artificially created non-tandem hetero-allelic duplication was constructed to assay mitotic intrachromosomal recombination in Schizosaccharomyces pombe. Two classes of recombinants could be distinguished: deletion-types, which one copy the duplicated sequence and intervening were lost, conversion-types retained duplication. For spontaneous recombination, compared wild-type cells, a rad22 mutant (corresponding Saccharomyces cerevisiae rad52 mutant) had levels but hypo-recombinant for conversion-types; rad16 (S. rad1), rad1) swi10 rad10) mutants hyper-recombinant both types; rhp51 rad51) rhp54 rad54) almost completely lacked conversion-types. UV-irradiation induced types recombinant, mainly All UV-induced recombination.
