摘要: The studies presented herein were aimed at characterizing the pathway involved in internalization and degradation of human choriogonadotropin by cultured Leydig tumor cells. A quick biochemical method that differentiates between surface-bound internalized hormone was developed. Using this two derivatives labeled exclusively (with 125I) alpha or beta subunits, it possible to follow fate each subunit during binding, internalization, degradation. results show is intact form reaches its place (presumably lysosomes) form. for complex, appears involve processing one both subunits hormone, followed dissociation further individual subunits. quickly degraded only detectable products are extracellular amino acids. slower, several intracellular before acids appear medium.
