摘要: Summary The array effects created between two sets of matching vertical Savonius wind-turbine blades installed side-by-side were examined using separation distances 1.0D and 1.5D, three combinations rotational directions, making a total six test scenarios. The directions for the wind turbines consisted both rotating clockwise, first clockwise second counter finally, clockwise. Using high-precision three-dimensional printer, scaled-down models turbine fabricated, each with diameter 0.226 m an aspect ratio 1.0. uncertainty was determined to have mean value approximately 2.2%. For scenario, torque revolutions per minute measured differential tip speed ratio, power coefficient evaluated based on oncoming airflow speed. results clearly showed that there combined effect related direction distance blades. Better performance could be obtained by considering these parameters adjacent turbines. Copyright © 2015 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
