摘要: The converting enzyme inhibitor, enalapril, was given to 20 hypertensive patients with renal artery stenosis in a single daily dose of 10-40 mg. Enalapril effectively controlled hypertension long-term, and only two the required concomitant diuretic treatment. blood pressure reduction 6 h after first enalapril significantly related pre-treatment plasma concentrations active renin angiotensin II (AII), concurrent fall AII. Blood fell further continued treatment; long-term not pretreatment or II. At three months, 24 last pressure, AII activity remained low, I (AI) high; dosing, had, however, fallen further. During prolonged therapy, increase proportionately greater than that I. alone caused exchangeable sodium, slight increases serum potassium, creatinine urea. did impair overall function five bilateral lesions despite effective reduction. well tolerated no serious side-effects. once is controlling associated stenosis.
