摘要: Due to the need of a highly sensitive touch keyboard for disabled, we propose no-moving-parts optical architectures based on use light splitting and blocking concepts. Light via fiber optic splitter is also introduced reduce precise alignment technique required in our free-space-based keyboard. Several key features are accomplished, including high switch sensitivity, scalability, ease implementation, low electrical power consumption. Our 5×4 prototype shows activating time 19 ms scanning rate 180 per 20 keys. tested more than 4000 operations under environmental illuminations from typical 400 lux 3000 without failure, thus promising good practice.
