摘要: Background Squamous cell carcinoma of the anus (SCCA) is a rare malignancy with rising incidence, associated human papilloma virus (HPV). Chemoradiotherapy (CRT) preferred treatment. The purpose was to investigate treatment failure, survival and prognostic factors after CRT. Material methods In this prospective observational study from large regional centre, 141 patients were included 2013 2017, 132 eligible for analysis. main inclusion criteria SCCA, planned radiotherapy, performance status (ECOG) ≤2. Patient characteristics, disease stage, treatment, response prospectively registered. Disease-free (DFS), overall (OS), locoregional failure CRT analysed. Hazard ratios (HRs) estimated Cox`s proportional hazards model. Results Median follow-up 54 (range 6-71) months. Eighteen (14%) had failures CRT; these 10 (8%) residual tumour, 8 (6%) relapse as first failure. (11 patients), distant (5 both (2 patients). Salvage abdomino-perineal resection performed in patients, 2 resections metastases, 3 both. DFS 85% at years 78% 5 years. OS 93% 86% analyses adjusted age gender, HPV negative tumours (HR 2.5, p = 0.024), N3 2.6, tumour size ≥4 cm 2.4, 0.038) DFS. Conclusion State-of-the-art chemoradiotherapy SCCA resulted excellent outcomes, improved compared previous national data, 80%.
