Campylobacter jejuni Septicemia—Epidemiology, Clinical Features and Outcome

摘要: In 33 cases of Campylobacter jejuni septicemia, the disease was more common at extremes age: infants made up a third reported while 24% patients were older than 50 years. Fever noted in 80% and chills about fourth. Enteritis present 70% cases, gastrointestinal tract principal source septicemia. Half did not have significant underlying but age, which may reflect relative host impairment. Mortality (25%) owing to C septicemia occurs mostly compromised hosts.
