摘要: BAG-1 (bcl-2-associated athanogene) enhances oestrogen receptor (ER) function and may influence outcome response to endocrine therapy in breast cancer. We determined relationships between expression, molecular phenotype, tamoxifen a cohort of cancer patients its on sensitivity MCF-7 cells vitro. Publically available gene expression data sets were analysed identify mRNA patient outcome. protein was assessed using immunohistochemistry 292 with invasive ductal carcinoma correlated clinicopathological variables, therapeutic disease BAG-1-overexpressing treated antioestrogens assess effects cell proliferation. Gene demonstrated consistent association high improved survival. In ER+ (n=189), nuclear independently predicted for local recurrence (P=0.0464), distant metastases (P=0.0435), death from (P=0.009, hazards ratio 0.29, 95% CI: 0.114–0.735) tamoxifen-treated (n=107; P=0.0191). overexpression augmented antioestrogen-induced growth arrest. A predicts carcinoma. This reflect both better definition the hormone-responsive phenotype concurrent increased tamoxifen.
