摘要: Females of Tremoctopus violaceus, Argonauta argo and Ocythoe tuberculata in the Aegean Sea have larger eggs than specimens from western Mediterranean open ocean; most probable reason is a shift reproductive strategies Argonautoidea toward K-side, because high stability this habitat contrast to unstable seas. Potential fecundity T. violaceus 100,000–300,000; batch 10,000–30,000, but at beginning end spawning batches are smaller. In A. potential least 85,000, with some 2,000–4,000 eggs. The small, mature O. was 300,000 eggs. an "intermittent terminal spawner", whereas both "continuous spawners".
