摘要: BACKGROUND Neuroblastoma is the most frequently diagnosed extracranial solid tumor in children. Previous studies have shown that single-nucleotide polymorphisms some genes are associated with risk of multiple cancers, including neuroblastoma. Although Hox transcript antisense intergenic RNA (HOTAIR) gene been investigated a variety to authors' knowledge relationships between HOTAIR and neuroblastoma susceptibility not reported date. The objective current study was evaluate correlation Chinese METHODS authors genotyped 6 (rs920778 A>G, rs12826786 C>T, rs4759314 rs7958904 G>C, rs874945 rs1899663 C>A) 2 populations 393 cases 812 healthy controls. strength associations evaluated using odds ratios 95% confidence intervals. Further stratification analyses were conducted explore association C>A terms age, sex, clinical stage disease, sites origin. RESULTS found C>T (P =.013), =.020), =.029) significantly increased risk. In analyses, these more predominant females among patients retroperitoneal region or mediastinum. remaining 3 be related susceptibility. CONCLUSIONS results verified suggest might potential biomarker for Cancer 2018;124:2599-606. © 2018 American Society.
