摘要: 1. Recordings were made from sixty-five cells in the visual cortex of unanaesthetized, dark-adapted cats and transferred automatically to computer input paper tape. 2. The activity each cell was measured as a function time (the running mean). unit used inversely proportional mean firing rate, order give comparable results for different cells. 3. For sixty-nine sections discharge fifty-two cells, length recorded sufficient test long-term stability mean. In twenty-six sections, various kinds trend irregularity found. 4. interspike interval histogram computed forty-one (from thirty-one cells) which there more than 2000 discharges. Only eight histograms approximated closely exponential form. A also distribution longer intervals alone twenty-five they did not deviate significantly form. 5. There no significant correlation between behaviour or otherwise
