摘要: A magnetic tunnel junction (MTJ) magnetoresistive read head for a recording system has the MTJ sensing or free ferromagnetic layer also functioning as flux guide to direct from medium junction. The fixed and barrier have their front edges substantially coplanar with surface of head. Both layers are in contact opposite surfaces but extends beyond back edge either layer, whichever is closer surface. This assures that non-zero region. magnetization direction generally perpendicular thus medium, preferably by interfacial exchange coupling an antiferromagnetic layer. aligned parallel absence applied field rotate presence fields medium. high coercivity hard material adjacent sides longitudinally biases preferred direction.
