In this essay I argue Susan's is an empowering example of a collage woven-together life experiences, substantive research interests, feminist values and progressive professional practices. illustrate these ideas through three trace throughout career: networking gender; caring geography; reproducing geography. work connects validates diverse elements her scholarship, commitment to disciplinary leadership.
