摘要: Objective To compare the effects of group-based and individual-based motor skill training on performance in children with developmental coordination disorder. Design Randomized controlled pilot intervention study. Subjects/patients Twenty-three (4 girls) disorder (mean age (standard deviation (SD)) 8 years (1 year 2 months)). Methods Twelve were randomly assigned to undergo a programme once week for consecutive weeks group setting, 11 received same an individual basis during period. Each child was also instructed perform home exercises daily basis. The Movement Assessment Battery Children (MABC) used assess ability. Home exercise compliance parental satisfaction programmes evaluated. Results A significant reduction MABC total impairment score found following both -4.4 (SD 5.0), p = 0.003) -5.2 5.1), 0.016). However, change did not differ significantly between groups (p 0.379). There similarly no between-group difference 0.288) Conclusion Group-based produced similar gains training. may be preferred treatment option due associated cost savings.
