Clinical characteristics of pilar cysts with satellite cyst as a cause of recurrence after surgery

摘要: Background Recurrence is the most common post-surgical complication of pilar cysts (PCs), which could be related to satellite (SCs), associated with PCs. This study was done explore characteristics PCs SCs. Methods analytic cross-sectional carried out on 98 patients suffering from Patients’ demographic data and without SCs were recorded. Results Out (70 women 28 men) 821 PCs, 58 (5 9.2%) 67 (8.2%) had SCs, respectively. In men ratio, mean age positive familial history 34/6, 39.67±7.004 years 85%, atypical morphologic presentation seen in 89.5% cases. a diameter 2 cm Conclusion We found sizes 1-3 probably recommend sonographic examination before surgery or high accuracy appropriate time during for above mentioned features order not miss cysts.
