摘要: Abstract Two aspects of daunorubicin reactivity were investigated by pulse radiolysis. (i) The reactions O 2 and − with the semiquinone hydroquinone transients determined their rate constants measured. Although can reduce drug its form, it is a more powerful oxident towards two reduced transients. (ii) glycosidic cleavage in aqueous solution was studied. Three intermediates seen characterized absorption spectra, formation decay kinetics. competition beween these main processes evaluated conditions Even under low partial pressures redox cycles are much rapid than relatively high steady state settled. Biological implications discussed.
