摘要: Current Chinese policy promotes the development of both electricity-propelled vehicles and carbon-free sources power. Concern has been expressed that electric on average may emit more CO2 conventional pollutants in China. Here, we explore environmental implications investments different types vehicle (public buses, taxis private light-duty vehicles) modes (fast or slow) for charging under a range wind penetration levels. To do this, take Beijing 2020 as case study employ hourly simulation behaviour power system operation. Assuming slow-charging option, find can result an effective reduction emission at several levels penetration. The fast-charging however, is counter-productive. Electrifying buses offers most option to reduce emissions NOx, major precursor air pollution. Electric offer route decarbonization transport but only right electricity source conditions. shed light Chen et al. model impacts scenarios.
