摘要: Magnetic compressions intermittently observed outside the lunar wake in solar wind may be limb shocks caused by presence of local regions permanent magnetism on limb. Observable compression would due to length scale (radius) at least as great several tens kilometers and field strength ≳ 10 gammas. Thousands such might exist surface. The steady magnetic measured Apollo 12 site probably has ≲ does not produce an observable shock.
