摘要: Tissue microarray (TMA) technology has been developed to facilitate high-throughput immunohistochemical and in situ hybridization analysis of tissues by inserting small tissue biopsy cores into a single paraffin block. Several studies have revealed novel prognostic biomarkers esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) means TMA technology, although this technique not yet validated for these tumors. Because representativeness the donor may be disadvantage compared full sections, aim study was assess if provides representative results ESCC. A constructed containing triplicate 108 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded carcinomas esophagus. The agreement differentiation grade staining scores CK5/6, CK14, E-cadherin, Ki-67, p53 between subset 64 randomly selected blocks determined using kappa statistics. concurrence moderate Ki-67 (κ = 0.42) E-cadherin (κ = 0.47), substantial (κ = 0.65) CK14 (κ = 0.71), almost perfect (κ = 0.86) CK5/6 (κ = 0.93). appears valid method molecular markers ESCC provided that pattern tumor is homogeneous.
