摘要: Abstract In road safety, it may be debated whether all risky behaviors are sufficiently similar to explained by factors. The often assumed generalizability of the factors that influence driving has been inadequately tested. Study 1 (N = 116) examined role demographic, personality and attitudinal in prediction a range behaviors, for young drivers. Results illustrated different were predicted (e.g., speeding was authority--rebellion, while drink sensation seeking optimism bias). 2 (N = 127) these results general population. did not generalize. Predictive remained behavior-specific, but predictor-behavior relationships observed community sample. Overall, suggest future research practice should focus on multi-factor framework specific rather than assuming across populations.
