摘要: Abstract Serendipita indica previously known as Piriformospora is an arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) like endophytic fungus which can be cultivated axenically and colonizes array of plants, thereby promoting their growth confers biotic abiotic stress tolerance to the colonized host plant. It efficiently sequestrates heavy metals defends plant against metal-induced toxicity. In present study, SiPHO80, a homologue S. cerevisiae PHO80 was isolated from S. indica functionally characterized in S. cerevisiae. SiPHO80 has conserved ‘cyclin box’ domain closely related negative regulator cyclin wood decaying fungi. S. indica, its expression gets upregulated phosphate-rich media. The regulation Pi homeostasis disrupted Δpho80 grown under high condition restored upon complementation with SiPHO80. Also, mutant osmotolerance metal tolerance. This first report involved homeostasis, salt tolerance, toxicity any
