摘要: Phantom pain refers to in a body part that has been amputated or deafferented. It often viewed as type of mental disorder assumed stem from pathological alterations the region amputation stump. In past decade, evidence accumulated phantom might be phenomenon CNS is related plastic changes at several levels neuraxis and especially cortex. Here, we discuss for putative pathophysiological mechanisms with an emphasis on central, particular cortical, changes. We cite both animal human studies derive suggestions innovative interventions aimed alleviating pain.
