摘要: Vitamin E has been demonstrated to modulate cellular signalling, gene expression and affect wounds infected with methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), thus influencing wound healing. This evidence-based review aimed identify evaluate current research assessing the properties of vitamin in relation healing, through its role as an antioxidant influence on connective tissue growth factor (CTGF), MRSA transcription. Literature dated from 1996 2012, published English, involving either animals or adult humans acute chronic were included. The databases that contained relevant articles narrowed down four, a total 33 identified studies literature revealed there is significant dearth robust establishing effects further clearly warranted.
