EnglishAlu insertion polymorphisms are robust markers for human evolutionary studies because they have a unique mutational mechanism, with known ancestral state. On data of gene frequencies insertions in populations different continents, discriminant analysis has been performed, the aim evaluating capacity these to classify and consequently estimate degree admixture hybrid populations. For established regions, percentage correct classification 91.5% obtained, allowing distinguish reasonably well between Sub-Saharan Africa, North Middle East, Europe, India Central Asia, East The utility is confirmed therefore studies.
