摘要: In Brazil, ethanol is obtained by fermentat of sugar cane juice using Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The extraction generates the bagasse that has been used for obtaining generation biofuel. However, sugarcane 30% pentose cannot be fermented to S. Thus aim this study was isolate a yeast able ferment xylose ethanol. Samples and flowers were isolation 165 strains then screened production plate testing. Among them, positive Wickerhamomyces anomalus, Schizosaccharomyces pombe Starmerella meliponinorum selected fermentation assay, semi-synthetic hydrolysate as must. produced 0.63 2.7 gL-1 ethanol, respectively, from in semisynthetic medium. medium consisting must, 0.67 1.1 pombe, respectively. All yeasts xylitol which highest quantity (14.5 g L-1).
