The purpose examine relation psychological physiological risk factors coronary heart (CHD). former were Type A Behavior Pattern its constitutents assessed Jenkins Activity Survey (JAS), latter systolic diastolic blood pressure, cholesterol, HDL, triglycerides Quetelet body mass index. There 520 randomly selected subjects (302 men, 218 women), 46–65 yr old. results showed related higher scores on JAS scales A, Hard Driving, Speed Impatience, lower Job Involvement. Further, smokers had index pressure. indicate is not an factor CHD, if it affects CHD then only in conjunction with other factors. view deviant findings different subsamples important large samples check age, gender education.
