摘要: AIM: To analyze vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), c-erbB-2 and c-erbB-3 expression to evaluate their relation clinicopathologic parameters pathogenesis of colorectal carcinoma. METHODS: Sections adenoma, intramucosal carcinoma adenocarcinoma were evaluated by immunohistochemistry in 85 malignant 37 benign neoplasms for the VEGF, considering clinicopathological variables. RESULTS: VEGF was detected comparable percentages all neoplasm types while detectable more frequently adenoma than cases (65% vs 43%). Except correlation with Dukes' staging, there no between studied markers grade differentiation, stage localization adenocarcinoma. seen tubular adenomas, higher tubulovillous villous types. These differences not statistically significant. The presence distant metastasis angiolymphatic invasion identified as independent predictors survival. A positive found lymphatic vessel regional lymph node involvement. CONCLUSION: results suggest that c-erbB-2, does have prognostic value cancer. may be implicated metastasis.
