摘要: The Ly-6 family of cell surface molecules has previously been shown to participate in T activation. We show that Ly-6A/E proteins also modulated the response normal B lymphocytes three separate vitro assays. First, unfractionated or small resting cells proliferated when cultured with IFN-gamma, IL-4, and an anti-Ly-6A/E mAb. Second, this mAb restored proliferation responses were inhibited coculturing anti-IgM. Third, specifically up-regulated expression its own Ag, was dependent upon co-stimulation IFN-gamma. Mixing culture suggested did not contribute substantially proliferative response. Moreover, up-regulation observed for one lymphoma, WEHI-231. Therefore, it appeared modulation function by due a direct effect binding cells. Taken together, these data suggest are functional on may play regulatory role
