摘要: Abstract The proximity of a 35-fathom (64 m) submerged shoreline, approximately 11,000 year old, and an 8-fathom (14 submarine peat horizon, dated at 9,300 ± 80 years B.P., in the vicinity Foveaux Strait indicates abrupt increase rate rise sea level between these two dates. Published radiocarbon analyses shell from terrestrial sites elsewhere New Zealand support this hypothesis, facilitate construction generalized curve depicting fluctuations region during last years.
