摘要: Abstract This article demonstrates a new smartphone-based reusable glucose meter. The meter includes custom-built smartphone case that houses permanent bare sensor strip, stylus is loaded with enzyme-carbon composite pellets, and instrumentation circuits. A custom-designed Android-based software application was developed to enable easy clear display of measured concentration. typical test involves the user loading software, using dispense an enzymatic pellet on top strip affixed case, then introducing sample. electronic module acquires wirelessly transmits data be displayed screen. deployed discarded regain fresh surface. Such unique working principle allows system overcome challenges faced by previously reported sensors, such as enzyme degradation, leaching, hysteresis effects. Studies reveal in pellets are stable for up 8 months at ambient conditions, generate reproducible signals. work illustrates significance pellet-based sensing towards realizing reusable, point-of-care snugly fits around which does not face issues usually common sensors. versatility this it easily modified detect other analytes wide range healthcare, environmental defense domains.
