摘要: Abstract Transposition requires a coordinated series of DNA breakage and joining reactions. The Tn7 transposase contains two proteins: TnsA, which carries out at the 5′ ends transposon, TnsB, 3′ transposon. TnsB is member retroviral integrase superfamily whose hallmark conserved DDE motif. We report here structure TnsA 2.4 A resolution. Surprisingly, fold that type II restriction endonuclease. Thus, transposition involves collaboration between polypeptides, one containing motif does not. This result indicates range biological processes utilize enzyme–like folds also includes transposition.
