摘要: Lipid rafts, cell membrane domains with unique composition and properties, modulate the distribution of receptors signaling molecules facilitating assembly active platforms. However, underlying mechanisms that link signal transduction lipid rafts are not fully understood, mainly because transient nature these assemblies. Several methods have been used to study association rafts. In first part this chapter, a description how biochemical such as raft disruption by cholesterol depletion agents useful in qualitatively establishing protein is presented. The second chapter dedicated imaging techniques receptor organization We cover conventional approaches confocal microscopy advanced homo-FRET superresolution methods. For each technique described, their advantages drawbacks discussed.
