摘要: Abstract An experimental study was conducted to investigate the mechanical behavior of four I-section steel beams, which were reinforced by welding a plate bottom and top flange, respectively. For all specimens, ultimate capacity obviously enhanced relative that original beams. Preload while beam is proved be an adverse factor for if failure controlled lateral–torsional buckling. During process, larger vertical deflection web curvature generated. The torsional section angle decreased appropriate procedure adopted. In addition study, type thermo-mechanical coupling analysis ANSYS, considering conducted. A generally good agreement between FE experiments could observed from comparison load versus curves obtained experiments. It reasonable can allow prediction residual after reinforcement. presented in this paper method simulating beams under load. With more accurate material parameters heat source models, simulation further enhanced.
