摘要: Failure of rock mass that is subjected to compressive loads occurs from initiation, propagation, and linkage new cracks preexisting fissures. Our research investigates the cracking behaviour coalescence process in a brittle material with two non-parallel overlapping flaws using high-speed camera. The tensile crack wing were first occur flaws. initiation stresses primary at tips each flaw simultaneous decreased reduced inclination angle. following types identified between flaws: crack, linkage, shear mixed tensile-shear indirect coalescence. Coalescence through occurred mostly pre-peak stress. In contrast, or higher Overall, this study indicates geometry affect behaviour.
