Disability duration calculated indemnity payments data using previously methods. average an injured worker 46 days median 0 days. most frequently occurring conditions low back pain (14.8%), foreign body eye (8.5%), finger lacerations (4.8%). Back also greatest percentage claim costs (21.3%) (25.5%). However, longest durations sudden-onset injuries, including fractures ankle (median 55 days), foot (42 wrist (38 days). Same-level elevated falls principal exposures ankle, whereas struck by incidents majority fractures. Manual materials handling activities often associated disability. results suggest that these can be addressed increasing primary prevention resources slips related to as well reducing manual other more gradual-onset injuries.
