摘要: The purpose of these experiments was to test the hypothesis that estrogen has an anabolic effect on cancellous bone formation in long bones growing rats. In present studies, decreased measurements related formation, including osteoblast number, fluorochrome-labeled perimeter, and incorporation [3H]proline into osteoid. Steady state mRNA levels for matrix proteins mineral apposition rate were unchanged or reduced. [3H]thymidine labeling index osteoblasts very low reduced by treatment. Finally, removal tetracycline previously incorporated as well growth-dependent decrease area, indicating hormone treatment net resorption. summary, no evidence secured support action formation; results obtained studies consistently demonstrated a pronounced inhibitory action...
