摘要: Rhizobium leguminosarum bv. viciae is a soil α-proteobacterium that establishes diazotrophic symbiosis with different legumes of the Fabeae tribe. The number genome sequences from rhizobial strains available in public databases constantly increasing, although complete, fully annotated structures genomes are scarce. In this work, we report and analyse complete R. UPM791. Whole sequencing can provide new insights into genetic features contributing to symbiotically relevant processes such as bacterial adaptation rhizosphere, mechanisms for efficient competition other bacteria, ability establish complex signalling dialogue legumes, enter root without triggering plant defenses, and, ultimately, fix nitrogen within host. Comparison two viciae, 3841 UPM791, highlights existence symbiotic plasmids common core chromosome. Specific genomic traits, plasmid content or distinctive regulation, define differential physiological capabilities these endosymbionts. Among them, strain UPM791 presents unique adaptations recycling hydrogen generated fixation process.
