摘要: Abstract Ion mobility-mass spectrometry (IMS-MS) is rapidly gaining attention for improving metabolomic, lipidomic and proteomic analyses. Through the simultaneous measurement of molecular structures mass, IMS-MS enables more complete analysis mixtures, confident assignments, construction multicharacteristic libraries, evaluation unknown features in complex samples. Studies over last decade have utilized to distinguish study structurally similar small molecules, such as glycan anomers, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, lipid double bond isomers, leading discovery new compounds with potentially high biological importance. Furthermore, has become an advanced proteomics tool not only bottom-up peptide identification quantitation but also native/intact proteins their role structural biology disease progression. Additionally, recent advances higher resolution IMS separations its successful coupling other preseparation, fragmentation, characterization illustrate how will allow a in-depth look into systems further advance omics measurements.
