摘要: The relationship between gluconeogenesis from alanine and nitrogen balance after stomach resection was investigated in 13 patients. Partial done eight patients total five Alanine turnover, carbon flux to glucose, glucose turnover were determined by tracer methodology, using the single injection of [U-14C]alanine [2-3H]glucose. divided two groups according quantity administered glucose. Six with partial received 2.1 2.8 g . kg-1 day-1 0.07 0.09 day-1, amounting 11 kcal (group 1). In group 2 subjects 5.4 8.2 0.12 0.26 day-1; also 1.2 1.8 fat emulsion day-1. Total caloric supply 28 60 1 mean potential contribution loss 31 67%; this at least 7 63%. No correlation found A significant (p less than 0.001) and, respectively, intake supply. These results suggest that not but demand are major factors influencing resection.
