摘要: The cloud seems to be an excellent companion of mobile systems, alleviate battery consumption on smartphones and backup user's data on-the-fly. Indeed, many recent works focus frameworks that enable computation offloading software clones the designing cloud-based systems for stored in our devices. Both involve communication between real devices cloud. This does certainly not come free. It costs terms bandwidth (the traffic overhead communicate with cloud) energy (computation use network interfaces device). In this work we study fmobile software/data backupseasibility both backups real-life scenarios. assume architecture where each device is associated a clone We consider two types clones: off-clone, whose purpose support offloading, back-clone, which comes when restore apps needed. give precise evaluation feasibility off-clones back-clones device. achieve through measurements done testbed 11 Android equal number running Amazon EC2 public have been used as primary by participants whole experiment duration.
