摘要: PURPOSE The prognosis of gastric cancer patients with bone marrow metastases is extremely poor. current study was conducted to evaluate the clinical outcomes advanced metastases. MATERIALS AND METHODS We retrospectively reviewed medical records 26 who were treated at Soonchunhyang University Hospital between September 1986 and February 2009. RESULTS median age 46 years (range, 24 61 years). All had poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma, including 17 signet ring cell carcinomas. majority thrombocytopenia, anemia, elevated lactate dehydrogenase levels. Sixteen (61.5%) received palliative chemotherapy (median, 4 cycles; range, 1 13 cycles). overall survival after detection for cohort 37 days (95% confidence interval, 12.5 61.5 days). involvement 11 in best supportive care group 2 34 days) 121 3 383 (p<0.001). causes death tumor progression (11 patients, 45%), brain hemorrhage (6 25%), infection (5 21%), disseminated intravascular coagulation (1 patient, 4%). There no chemotherapy-related deaths. CONCLUSION Palliative could be considered as a treatment option.
